I Actually Went Camping!

I learned these things on our camping trip:

1. It is a lot of work.
2. The twins LOVE to set up camp.
3. Mike likes to play house, and does the cooking.
4. You can never have too many paper towels.
5. William turns in early, after filling up on s'mores. He's up with the sun, fishing.
6. Peter is the campfire comedian. I think he could stay up all night being goofy.
7. There are strange noises at night, and they are not big squirrels!
8. Sleep? What's that?
9. It is really cold in the morning.

I will say that Mike and the boys put in extra special effort to make sure I had fun. And I did. It is just not my favorite thing to do. They love it, and I love that they wanted me to tag along.

Camping is not my idea of fun, either.

Glad you had a good time, though!

OH the joys of being a mother to boys! Isn't it fun though?

Ashley, I have to say I'm proud of you and it sounds kind of fun...though camping is not my thing either.

Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone for the boys!! I learned something too on my first camping trip....we need a camper! :D

How sweet is that. I myself love to go camping. We started out when our little guy was in Scouts, he's no longer in scouts, but I enjoy camping. Haven't been in about a year, still working on the DH to set it up. The only thing I hate is needing to use the bathroom, so we got our own potty from brass pro shops and it works out great. I'm proud of you - nothing like family time which ever way you do it.
