Where is my new I 171H??

Yikes! It just dawned on me that I have yet to receive my new I 171H. We were fingerprinted on 2/14/08. My agency said our USCIS office is taking 7-12 weeks to get them out, after fingerprinting. It should be coming soon, right? It was much faster the first time we filed. If I didn't have something to worry about, I wouldn't feel normal!

Hope, Dream, Wish

I love these fairytale designed wall hangings. I ordered them for Lilly's room. It momentarily made me feel better. I'll admit, I'm feeling blue. This wait makes me hurt. I need to snap out of it. I have so much to be thankful for. I cannot say exactly what this feeling is, but I know it will pass. It always does. I'm cycling through my emotions, and just trying to accept things, with a pure heart.

I'm holding on to my faith, for that is what will truly see me through. St. Therese of Lisieux gives the following answer to the question, What is Prayer? "For me, prayer is a surge of the heart; it is a simple look turned toward heaven, it is a cry of recognition and of love, embracing both trial and joy."

My prayers are many, and my heart is full of hope, wishes and dreams. And despite my touch of melancholy, I remain thankful for the abundant joy and blessings in my life.

Oh, and it's Friday, so have a wonderful weekend! I feel better already!

Seventeen Months

Today marks 17 months of waiting. That feels like a long time. I'm reminded of Dory, from Finding Nemo........."just keep swimming".

More Goodies and It's Official

I'm behind in posting a few thank yous. The beautiful bows are from my sweet friend, Kelly. Thanks, Kelly, I love them. The socks are from Suzanne, who participates in our November 06 LID sock swap. She is from London; very fun to get goodies from there. Thanks, Suzanne! The "lovey" is something I bought myself. It is so soft and silky! It is from AllyZabba.com and I love it.

So, I posted a few days ago that we were out of the review room. Now I know, for sure and without a doubt, that our dossier has moved from department 1(review room) to department 2(match room). I am relieved beyond words!

The calendar may say it is spring, but our weather doesn't know that. We woke up to several inches of snow, and it is still coming down. We have one last weekend of skiing, and them I'm done!

They Clean Up Well!

I just had to post this picture! My 13 year olds are wearing suits! It was for a special occasion at Church today. Gone were the jeans, tee-shirts, and Ipods! Don't they look handsome? (ok, maybe a little "stiff", but definitely handsome!) I was a very proud mama! They, however, were not thrilled with their new wardrobe addition. This probably won't happen again for a while. I had to take advantage while I could!

Out of Review!?!

I heard from my agency that we are out of review!! It is "unofficial", because the CCAA has not updated the infamous box, however I do trust my agency. So, China has approved us, 16 and 1/2 months after sending our dossier. wow. We may be sitting in the match room for a very long time, but at least we are there.

Another very necessary step taken.
