Friday Night Lights

Warning.....here comes some bragging. Peter and Will just found out that they made the "A" freshman football team. (I guess those dreaded "2 a-day" practices were worth it!) Game 1 is this Friday night. They won't usually play a Friday night game, that's reserved for Varsity, but this week they will get to play under the lights. At their new high school. They are ready!!

Edited to add: Well, that was fun. The boys played great. They loved it! However, at today's practice, William suffered a concussion. This is William's fourth one, and we pray it is also his last one. With the advise of his doctor, along with our wishes, Will has officially retired from football. No sport, no matter how much he loves it, is worth risking his precious brain. Will is disappointed, but he fully understands why he cannot play a contact sport like football. He will now be cheering from the stands and pulling for his brother to shine. Peter asked the coach if he could switch to Will's jersey number. How awesome is that! Oh, how I love these boys of mine!
